Shari’s Restaurants are proud to be part of the communities
we serve, and are committed to giving back to help support the charitable
needs of our friends, families and neighbors.
Shari’s corporate sponsorship and support is concentrated
on the needs of the young and the young-at-heart. These diverse groups
at opposite ends of the age spectrum are often the ones with the
largest needs, unable to provide for themselves. They also represent
the best of a vibrant family, with children offering the hope for
the future, and seniors providing the wisdom and connection with
the past.
Through a combination of gifts, sponsorships, discounts and donations,
Shari’s has provided charitable support in the following ways…
For the Young:
- Shari’s Grip It & Rip It Golf Tournament
benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland – Now in
it’s 10th year, the 2005 golf tournament raised over $108,000
to support the work of the Boys & Girls Clubs.
- The Forgotten Children’s Fund – Shari’s
Seattle-area locations participate in this yearly effort to help
provide holiday gifts to children who would otherwise receive none.
- School Auction Donations – Shari’s
responds to the need for donations to school, church, and other
charity auctions held by non-profit (501C) organizations in our
communities.
- School Scrip – Gift Certificates are provided
at a 10% discount to school districts offering a scrip program
as an ongoing fundraising effort.
- Certificates of Achievement – Shari’s
feels strongly about encouraging positive actions in young people.
As a result we created the Certificate of Achievement Program designed
to help teachers reward elementary and middle school children for
positive actions, attitudes and achievements. The certificates
provide a two dollar discount on Shari’s food, beverages
and dessert and are available for any school in our communities.
Requests for donations should be faxed to (503) 605-4294. For other
requests, please contact Shari’s Marketing Department.
For the Young-At-Heart:
- Honored Citizen Cards – Seniors earn FREE Meals by having
their frequent guest card stamped each time they eat at Shari’s.
Honored Citizen benefits begin at age 55 at Sharis!
- Honored Citizen Menu – Shari’s offers one of the
largest senior menus available in family dining, featuring special
breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees with smaller portions at preferred
pricing.
- “Timeless Treasures” – Shari’s
sponsored this antique appraisal event which raises funds to continue
the ombudsman and senior support services of Elders In Action.
