Cafe Club FAQ

Q: How do I sign up for Shari’s Cafe Club?

A: There is no cost to join, just visit any Shari’s location to receive a Cafe Club card and register it online at www.Sharis.com or through our mobile app found in the iPhone or Android app store.

You can also enroll for our Cafe Club card by completing the registration form at www.Sharis.com or through our mobile app.  You’ll be given a temporary membership number you’ll need to bring to any Shari’s location and a member of our team will be happy to activate a plastic card for you.

Q: How do I earn points?

A: For every dollar you spend, you will automatically receive 1 point when paying your bill.  Please present your card or number generated when you check-in at the restaurant through the mobile app when paying.  Alcohol, tax, gratuity, purchase of gift cards, lottery and any other promotional discounts are excluded from earning points.

Q: How do I earn rewards?

A: For every 100 points you earn, $5 Shari’s reward dollars will be loaded to your card.  Rewards can’t be used for alcohol, tax, gratuity, purchase of gift cards or lottery.  If you reach 100 points on your current visit, you’ll need to wait until your next visit to use your reward.  Your rewards won’t expire as long as your card is used within a 12 month period. Every so often we may surprise you with spontaneous rewards just for dining with us!

Q: I CAN’T LOG IN- HELP!

A: If you’re trying to log in and get an error message that says “Authentication Failed” please check the account numbers you’re entering. This error appears when an invalid account number is entered.

If you’re an Honored Citizen Member trying to register your new card and it says “Email and phone number already in use” you’ve already registered your old Honored Card and don’t have to register your new card again. Q: I’M AN HONORED CITIZEN WITH MUTIPLE CARDS, HOW DO I LINK THEM TO MY NEW CAFE CLUB CARD?

A: Contact cafeclub@sharis.com and include your new card number along with all the card numbers you need combined.

Q: How do I register my card and why do I need to?

A: You can register your card at www.Sharis.com or by downloading the Shari’s app for Apple or Android in the app store. You must provide an email address to participate and register your card.

By registering your card you’ll be able to track and manage your points and rewards online. Should you lose your card, we’ll also be able to transfer your points and rewards to a new card. We will also send you exclusive promotions just for Cafe Club members.

Q: Do I have to carry my card with me to earn points?

A: Once your card is registered, you can check-in through our mobile app.  Once you’ve checked-in, a number will be generated that you can give to your cashier when paying your bill. Your account can also be issued points by providing your telephone number to your cashier when paying.  Your card must be registered to receive points without your card.

Q: What happens if my card is lost or stolen?

A: During your next Shari’s visit you can get a replacement card.  If you’ve registered the card, all points and rewards will be transferred to your new card with a new account number. If you plan to use the mobile app instead of carrying a card, you’ll still want to have all your points and rewards moved to a new card with a new account number to ensure your points are rewards are safe should someone try to use your lost or stolen card.

Q: How does the birthday reward work?

A: We want to celebrate with you!  At the beginning of your birthday month, your card will be loaded with a complimentary slice of birthday pie.  You’ll have the entire month of your birthday to use it before it expires. We’ll also send you an email letting you know your birthday reward has been loaded to your card.

If you are a new member registering your card during your birthday month, your complimentary slice of birthday pie will be loaded the following month and available during that entire month for you to use.

Q: Do my points or rewards expire?

A: As long as you’ve visited us within the last 12 months and received points for a visit, your points won’t expire. Inactive accounts that haven’t been used within a 12 month period will be subject to point expiration.

Q: How can I check my point balance and update my account information?

A: Log into your account at www.Sharis.com or by downloading the Shari’s app for Apple or Android in the app store. Here you can view all your point transactions, rewards and update your personal information.

Q: How does the app work?

A: Download the free app through the Apple or Android store to track your points, rewards, find a location and view our seasonal menu.  If you’d prefer to not carry a card, use the app to earn points.  Simply check-in on the app when you visit a Shari’s, get numeric code, and give that code to your cashier when paying. It’s that easy!

Q: Who do I contact if I’m having problems with my account?

A: If you’re having issues with your account, please email cafeclub@sharis.com. All inquiries will be responded to in the order received.

Q: What happens if I unsubscribe to Cafe Club emails?

A: We encourage you to stay connected to us!  If you unsubscribe to our emails, you’ll miss out on exclusive promotions just for our Cafe club members and reward notification emails as well.

Q: What other perks will I receive for being a member of Shari’s Cafe Club?

A: As a member of our Cafe Club you’ll receive invitations to participate in double point promotions (earn rewards faster!), a slice of pie for your birthday, exclusive promotional offers only for Cafe Club members, spontaneous rewards just for dining with us and more!

Q: Who can join the Cafe Club?

A: Anyone can join who is 18 years of age or older and is a United States resident.

Cafe Club Terms and Conditions

In order to register for the Shari’s Cafe Club (“Rewards Program”) and to access and use the Rewards Program website (“Site”), you must agree to these Terms and Conditions as follows:

  1. Eligibility: The Rewards Program is only available to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who are 16 years of age or older when they enroll in the Rewards Program. Only one account is allowed per Member.
  2. Enrollment: In order to enroll as a “Member” of the Rewards Program, you must provide Shari’s Management Corporation (“Shari’s”) with your name, email address, a password, address, and phone number.
  3. Earning Rewards: Members earn “Reward Dollars” by making qualifying purchases at Shari’s restaurants; Reward Dollars will not be earned for any taxes, gratuities, for purchases of gift cards or alcoholic beverages, any other promotional discounts, or for purchases made with Reward Dollars. Shari’s in its sole discretion may also award Members Reward Dollars and other rewards, e.g., free food, for the Member’s specific behavior or special events.
  4. “Hurdle Rate:” For every $100 in qualifying purchases, a Member will earn $5 in Reward Dollars. The Hurdle Rate is subject to change and any change will be reflected in the updated Terms and Conditions, as contemplated herein.
  5. Redemption: Reward Dollars may be redeemed for food and beverages (excluding alcoholic beverages) sold at Shari’s Restaurants. It may not be redeemed for purchases of gift cards, tax, gratuity, cash or lottery. Members may redeem more than one $5 Reward Dollars for a single purchase. Reward Dollars may not be redeemed during the same visit in which the Hurdle Rate is reached.
  6. Expiration: Reward Dollars will expire if Member’s account is inactive for more than 12 months, after earned by reaching a Hurdle Rate, and other rewards will expire as indicated on the reward.
  7. Sweepstakes, Contests and Other Promotions: The Rewards Program may offer sweepstakes, contests or other promotions that may have rules or their own terms and conditions. Members are required to read those rules and terms and conditions, and to agree and accept to be bound by them in order to participate.
  8. Lost Rewards Card: Report a lost Rewards Card to Shari’s at cafeclub@sharis.com or during your next visit to Shari’s Restaurants.  Shari’s will not be responsible for Reward Dollars or other rewards redeemed by an unauthorized user of the Rewards Card.
  9. Account Closure: A Member’s Rewards Program account will be closed after 12 months with no activity.
  10. Suspension/Termination of Membership: Shari’s reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend a Member’s membership in the Rewards Program in the event of any suspected misconduct, including suspending the Member’s ability to redeem Reward Dollars and/or other rewards earned in connection with his/her membership in the Rewards Program. If Shari’s concludes in its sole discretion that the Member has engaged in misconduct or that his/her account has been compromised, it may terminate the Member’s membership, including but not limited to terminating the Member’s ability to redeem Reward Dollars and/or other rewards earned in connection with his/her membership in the Rewards Program.
  11. Modification of Terms and Conditions: Shari’s reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify at any time these Terms and Conditions. Any such changes are effective immediately and the Member’s continued enrollment in the Rewards Program and/or use of the Site confirms that he/she accepts the changes and agree to be bound by them.
  12. Termination of Rewards Program. Shari’s reserves the right in its sole discretion to terminate the Rewards Program. If the Rewards Program is terminated, Members will no longer earn Reward Dollars or other rewards. Any Reward Dollars or other rewards will expire as stated on the Rewards Dollars or other rewards, unless otherwise provided for herein.
  13. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer: Members use the Site at their own risk. Shari’s Management is not liable for any direct, indirect, special or other damages or losses that may result from the Member accessing this Site or using information, services or merchandise provided through Shari’s. This Site and the information included on the Site are provided by Shari’s “as is” without any warranty of any kind either expressed or implied. Shari’s is not responsible for interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, computer transmissions or jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions, or for electrical, network, computer hardware or software or program malfunctions, failures or difficulties or for other errors, omissions, interruptions, or deletions of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic or for any damage to any person’s computer related to participating in the Rewards Program. Shari’s liability for Reward Dollars or any other reward containing printing or other errors, if any liability exists, is limited to replacement with other Reward Dollars or reward, while supplies last.
  14. Release: Member hereby releases and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Shari’s from and against any and all costs, claims, damages, or any other injury, whether due to negligence or otherwise, to person(s) or property (including, without limitation, death or violation of any personal rights, such as violation of right of publicity/privacy, libel, or slander), due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to the Member’s participation in the Rewards Program, or the receipt, use or misuse, of Reward Dollars or any other reward.
  15. Links to Third Party Websites: The Site may contain links to other websites. Shari’s does not have any control over these other websites and it is not responsible for their content or security. If a Member clicks on a link to an outside website, he/she does so at his/her own risk and is subject to the privacy policy, and terms and conditions of that website.
  16. Privacy: Any information that a Member provides to Shari’s will be treated in accordance with Shari’s Privacy Policy located at www.Shari’s.com.
  17. Choice of Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by and are to be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon.
  18. Disputes to Be Resolved Through Arbitration: Except where prohibited by law, by participating in the Rewards Program, the Member agrees that any action arising out of or relating in any way to the Rewards Program shall be resolved individually and exclusively by final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (the “Forum”) and conducted before a sole arbitrator, all pursuant to the Forum’s Commercial Arbitration Rules as supplemented by the Forum’s Supplementary Procedures for Consumer-Related Disputes (collectively, the “Forum’s Rules”). The arbitration shall be held at a location in the state in which the Member lives. The arbitrator’s decision shall be controlled by these Terms and Conditions and any of the other rules referenced herein. The arbitrator shall not have the power to award punitive damages against Shari’s or anyone else. There shall be no authority for any claims to be arbitrated (or otherwise disputed) on a class or representative basis; arbitration can decide only the Member’s individual claims, and the arbitrator may not consolidate or join the claims of other persons or Members who may be similarly situated. ANY RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY IS HEREBY WAIVED. Members also agree that (a) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred; and (b) under no circumstances will Members be permitted, and Members hereby waive all rights, to: (i) claim punitive, exemplary, special, incidental, indirect and consequential damages and any other damages (whether due to negligence or otherwise); and (ii) have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. Any challenge to this provision shall also be resolved by an arbitrator of the Forum. If any provision or provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall be held to be invalid, illegal, unenforceable or in conflict with the law of any jurisdiction, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby.
